Who Hit Me CD Release Show w/ Sweepyheads & The Village Bicycle

Who Hit Me's CD Release show at the Grog Shop was rocking! The Village Bicycle and Sweepyheads also killed it. I tried to get Who Hit Me to do an encore, they didn't. They played their whole album plus some other songs, so I guess I can forgive them. It was great to see a hometown show with such an awesome turn out. It was like a defacto family reunion. If you haven't check out some music from these bands I'll have all the goodness linked below.

Who Hit Me - (Live From Bad Racket)

Who Hit Me recorded a Live From Bad Racket with us! I think it came out great! They have an album release show on Saturday and a new record out! Be sure to check it all out! I'll be at the show taking some photos! Hope to see you there!

Ingenuity Fest 2016

Ingenuity Fest this year was amazing. Music, art, science, comedy, and creativity all around. Not to mention giant swings and giant robots. The new location was great as well. It really allowed everything to flow well. I had the chance to take some photos of some great musical acts like Sweepyheads, Leggy, Goldmines, Price Rama, Fake Species & Times10, and many more! Jul gave us a shout out when we were at his set so that also made my day. I also was lucky enough to accidentally stumbled across the comedy stage. I haven't laughed that loud in public for a long time. I got to enjoy some acts like headliner Brian Kenny, John Burton, Cody Cooper, and more! Hunter and I helped out with the Unsuccessful Wrestling installation and it was a lot of fun! Thanks to everyone who came out and gave it a try! Be sure to support this event and show everyone involved some love. Keep awesome things like this going in Cleveland.

Fascinating - Julia's House (Live From Bad Racket)

Our latest "Live From Bad Racket" is out now! This is a special "Live From" because our old intern Brendan helped edit it! I love jamming this song so be sure to check it out!

Read about the first single on TheFireNote.com, "Fascinating frontman Ricky Hamilton has an extensive list of personal bands that include blackbear + the surf bums, The Nico Missile, Pig Flayer, Shagg, and The Venus Flytraps plus he has toured with Warm Soda and Useless Eaters, as their drummer. If that wasn’t enough, Hamilton also runs Quality Time Records out of his hometown city Cleveland, Ohio. The exciting part is that all his releases have different sounds and the lower fi post punk of Fascinating is one that really stands out for The Fire Note".

Dustin Tyler - Cleveland Magazine Photos

I took some photos Dustin Tyler from Case Western Reserve University for Cleveland Magazine! He's working on a pretty amazing project at Case and you can read a great article about it below!

Can't Swim - Right Choice (Live From Bad Racket)

Hello, World!

Check out our newest "Live From" Bad Racket! I shot and edited most of this video while Hunter tracked, mixed, and masted the audio. We took a slightly different approach to this video visually (b&w). I think it really worked for this video in particular. Let me know what you think below! Thanks again to Can't Swim! You can see thing at Riot Fest this Sunday!

Michael Symon's Mabel's in Downtown Cleveland

I was lucky enough, through Cleveland Magazine, to head into Michael Symon’s new restaurant Mabel’s and take some photos! It was a really exciting experience to get to photograph someone who is extremely talented and successful at their craft. Hopefully, I can continue to take these type of portraits because this style of portraiture is always interesting and challenging.

Capturing a portrait of someone doing what they love in cramped and stressful environment is thrilling to me. Michael and the Mabel’s staff was extremely accommodating and supportive of me and I cannot thank them enough for their hospitality.

Every time I’ve been by there or been into the restaurant its been packed. I’ve seen a lot of people on my social media feed saying they have enjoyed their experiences as well. So it is definitely one of the hottest restaurants in Cleveland right now.

The food I was lucky enough to try was amazing! I've gotten to eat there muliple times now and have been overwhelmed with the quality of my meals.

Not to mention the food I was lucky enough to try was amazing. I’ve gotten to eat there twice now and have been overwhelmed with how great the food is. I can’t even really explain it you’ll just have to go try it for yourself!
